What
is the difference between the deluxe and standard
editions?
Our standard editions tend to
look like, and have the production values of, the best
books typically found in bookstores. They have dust
jackets and are printed on good-quality paper in
full-color. The deluxe editions have higher production
standards and are slightly more expensive. They are
typically printed on smaller presses, which permit
greater control over color. Some are printed in five --
rather than the usual four - colors enabling us to
reduce the harsh contrast that sometimes exists between
text and pictures. The easiest difference to recognize
is the design of the cover. The deluxe editions always
have real cloth stretched over the spine giving it the
appearance of a keepsake book. Occasionally, we use
special inks for the title, e.g. gold.
